-
This was a self-initiated identity for my own wedding, bringing together Persian and Pakistani families. It had to hold both cultures without diluting either, and work across every touchpoint from save-the-dates to the décor at the venue. It also had to look refined without going over budget.
-
I was the creative director, designer and producer. I shaped the story, designed the identity and saw it through printing and installation on the day.
-
I built the identity around a story instead of a logo. The story came from three places: our Persian and Pakistani heritage, the venue and the time of year. The venue was The French, a restaurant in Cambridge’s Gaslight District with warm wood, exposed brick and concrete. The wedding was in November. Together, those set the palette and the print and digital pieces. The décor was chosen to feel at home against the restaurant’s textures instead of competing with them.
-
One visual language carried through every stage of the celebration: print, the website, the venue, and small personal details like the favours and the guest book. Each piece was drawn from the same story, so the whole event felt like one world.
-
The brand reached every corner of the day, and it lasted beyond it. Guests kept the favours instead of throwing them away, and the guest book still lives on our coffee table. It showed that a single creative vision can carry an entire event, not just a logo.
