Emilia’s creative path began in photography, a lens that still shapes how she approaches design today, grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for narrative.

Today she partners with brands and the people behind them, across both design and photography, helping them become more clearly seen and understood. Drawing on a decade of agency, in-house, and senior brand experience, she builds cohesive brand worlds: identities, art direction, and visuals that feel clear, intentional, and unmistakably their own. Her work spans large conference branding, brand identities, and integrated campaigns across digital, print, experiential, and art direction. As Senior Brand Designer on the ClioCon brand, she led brand work recognized with an RGD In-House Design Award. 

What sets her apart isn’t any single deliverable, but the way she sees the whole. Moving fluidly across identity, photography, editorial, and web, she thinks beyond the individual asset to how every piece belongs together and where a brand is headed next, leading with taste and intention rather than simply executing a brief. At the core of it is a belief that design is about how things make people feel: work that is rooted in storytelling and leaves room for something human.

That belief reaches beyond client work. Visions of Em began as a home for Emilia’s fuller creative point of view, a place for storytelling, photography, design, experimentation, and the things she feels compelled to make. Through it, she has shared her photography at Toronto’s Annual Art Crawl before a crowd of more than 20,000, and hosted Vision Lab, a series of workshops that invite people to step into her world and make something by hand, such as custom beaded jewellery.

Community and storytelling have long sat at the heart of that world. She has mentored emerging photographers through JAYU, a Canadian charity amplifying human rights through the arts, and lent her photography and direction to projects centred on representation and belonging, from portrait series celebrating Black students to features documenting the everyday spaces that hold communities together.
